This Thea Leonard 'Flamingo' chair is constructed with a solid mahogany frame composed of slender, rounded components that emphasize precise shaping and joinery. The backrest is formed by a gently curved top rail that spans the width of the chair, into which a series of evenly spaced vertical spindles are fitted. These thin, tapered spindles extend downward to meet a shaped seat rail, creating an open back structure with consistent spacing and alignment.

The rear legs rise upward in a continuous line from the floor to support the backrest, forming the primary structure of the chair. From the side view, the legs angle slightly backward while remaining cylindrical in profile, with smooth transitions where they meet the seat frame and stretchers. The front legs taper gradually toward the floor and are connected to the rear legs by narrow horizontal stretchers that reinforce the frame.

The seat is upholstered in smooth black leather, stretched over a slightly rounded seat platform.
