Crafted at Wirserums Nya Möbelfabrik in Sweden, this vintage teak bookcase and cabinet  pairs an open display section with a lower storage cabinet, making it well suited for living rooms, home offices, dining spaces, or libraries. Wirserums Nya Möbelfabrik was known for producing well-crafted teak case pieces with an emphasis on practical layouts, restrained detailing, and quality materials.

The upper bookcase features three broad shelves within a softly rounded teak frame, creating four generous display areas for books, ceramics, glassware, or decorative objects. As shown in the photos, the shelves have gently eased front edges that complement the rounded outer corners, while the rich teak grain continues across the interior panels for a consistent appearance.

The lower cabinet offers a versatile combination of concealed and drawer storage. Five graduated drawers with integrated oval pulls occupy the right side, providing organized storage for documents, linens, or smaller household items. On the left, a locking cabinet door opens to reveal two spacious storage compartments divided by a fixed shelf. The interior is finished in matching wood, maintaining the same level of craftsmanship throughout. Slim square legs lift the cabinet off the floor, reinforcing the light visual profile typical of Scandinavian modern furniture.

Throughout the piece, the teak displays warm color variation and well-matched vertical grain, while the rounded case edges, flush drawer fronts, and integrated pulls reflect the understated detailing associated with Swedish modern design.
