OVERSIZED ITEM

This Peter Hvidt Model FD-515 coffee table is constructed in teak with a circular top and an integrated lower shelf. The tabletop features visible grain variation and a softly rounded edge profile that tapers slightly underneath.

The table is supported by four cylindrical, tapered legs set at a slight outward angle. Each leg connects directly to the underside of the top with a clean, flush joint. A brass support structure extends from the legs to suspend the lower shelf.

The lower tier consists of a circular teak frame fitted with a woven cane panel. The cane surface is inset within the frame and held in place by the surrounding wood edge. The shelf is positioned below the tabletop with visible spacing, allowing access from all sides.

The brass supports form a continuous bent rod structure that attaches near the legs and curves inward to hold the shelf. The metal has a subtle patina consistent with age.
