OVERSIZED ITEM

This set of six dining chairs includes a combination of Niels Otto Møller Model 56 chair armchairs and Niels Otto Møller Model 75 chair side chairs, designed and produced in Denmark by J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik.

Each chair features a teak frame with visible grain variation throughout. The frames are constructed with rounded, tapered legs that connect to the seat rails using tight joinery. The backrests consist of a continuous curved top rail with vertical supports, shaped to follow the contour of the back.

The Model 56 armchairs include integrated armrests that extend from the backrest and connect directly into the front legs, forming a continuous structural element. The Model 75 side chairs share the same overall frame design but without armrests, allowing for a more compact profile.

Seats are constructed with handwoven Danish cord in a tightly wrapped pattern, creating a slightly recessed seating surface within the frame. The cord is tensioned across a rectangular seat frame and finished flush along the edges. 

The set presents as a uniform group, with matching materials and construction across both armchairs and side chairs. Frames show smooth edges and transitions between components, with all structural elements exposed and uninterrupted by additional ornamentation.

The chairs feature new Danish cord. Additional arm chairs and sides are available.
