OVERSIZED ITEM

Designed by Niels Erik and produced by Glasdam Jensen in Denmark, this vintage teak bar cart combines clean Danish Modern styling with a highly functional expanding design. The cart features two rectangular serving trays with raised teak gallery edges and integrated handles. When closed, the trays sit flush to create a compact footprint. Each side slides outward on teak rails, revealing an open center section that provides additional serving space while maintaining a balanced profile.

The trays are finished in a contrasting black laminate, offering a durable work surface for serving drinks or displaying glassware. Warm teak wood wraps the cabinet sides with consistent vertical grain, complemented by teak framing and precisely fitted joinery. The cart stands on tapered square legs with casters, allowing it to move easily between rooms.

The expanding mechanism showcases the thoughtful engineering associated with Danish furniture from the period. With both sides extended, the cart offers significantly more surface area while retaining an open, lightweight appearance. The construction and materials make it equally suited for use as a bar cart, serving trolley, or occasional storage piece.
