OVERSIZED ITEM

This side table, designed by Jens Risom, features a cantilevered wood frame with an offset rectangular top.

The tabletop is constructed from walnut, with visible grain variation across the surface. It is rectangular in shape and positioned off-center relative to the base. A shallow gallery edge runs along the perimeter of the top, forming a slight raised lip around the surface.

The base is composed of solid walnut elements arranged in a cantilevered structure. A horizontal stretcher runs along the lower section, connecting the vertical supports and forming the primary structural span. One side of the base extends upward to support the tabletop, while the opposite side remains open beneath the overhanging portion of the top.

The legs are straight and rectangular in profile, with clean intersections at each joint. The cantilevered construction creates an extended surface area beyond the footprint of the base, allowing the top to project outward.
