Jens Quistgaard Cast Iron Candle-Holder Set

This set of candle holders, designed by Jens Quistgaard for Dansk, is constructed from cast iron with a uniform dark finish.

Each holder features a low-profile form with a wide, stable base and a central socket sized to hold a standard taper candle. The candle cup is integrated directly into the body, with a circular opening positioned at the center of the form.

The bodies are shaped with a geometric, radial layout. Multiple arms extend outward from the center, forming a symmetrical arrangement. Each arm terminates at the outer edge, creating a spread footprint that distributes weight evenly across the base.

The surfaces are finished in a matte or lightly textured coating, with subtle variation consistent with cast iron production. Edges are slightly softened, while the overall form maintains sharp transitions between planes.

All elements are cast as a single piece, with no separate attachments or applied ornamentation. The structure remains fully exposed, with the design defined by the weight, geometry, and arrangement of the arms around the central candle holder.
