OVERSIZED ITEM

The Grete Jalk Model 118 Lounge Chair is a refined example of Danish mid-century design, with a structure composed of slender, tapered legs connected by rounded horizontal rails that create a low, open profile. Gently curved armrests sweep outward from the back posts and taper toward the front supports, forming a continuous, fluid line.

The seat and back cushions are thick and generously proportioned, creating a soft contrast to the precise geometry of the wooden frame. Upholstered in a gray Danish wool fabric, the cushions rest neatly within the frame and are subtly angled to follow the natural recline of the chair. At the rear, the backrest is supported by a series of gracefully curved vertical teak slats that add both structural strength and visual rhythm, while also showcasing the warm tone and grain of the wood.
