This dining table, designed by George Nelson for Herman Miller, features a circular top with an integrated rotating center section.
The tabletop is round and constructed with a laminate surface with a contrasting wood edge band. At the center, a circular lazy Susan is set flush into the main surface. This central section rotates independently, maintaining a consistent plane with the surrounding top.
The table rests on a pedestal-style base made of enameled metal. The base extends into four angled legs that spread outward from the central column, providing support while keeping the underside open.
All elements are defined by flat planes, consistent thicknesses, and exposed structural components, with no applied ornamentation beyond the material contrasts between laminate, wood edging, and metal base.
